“To Be or Not To Be” was presented in Orenburg

To Be or Not To Be

The film by RFG company jointly with MARINES GROUP ENTERTAINMENT “To Be or Not To Be” became a participant of the competitive program of IV International Film Festival “East & West. Classics and Avant-garde”.

The demonstration of Alexey A. Petrukhin’s debut work as a director took place on October, 28 in Orenburg, with the full house. It was the third opportunity for the Russian audience to appreciate the film “To Be or Not To Be”.

How long is it before “VIY”’s first night?

Viy

RFG Film Company and “Marines Group Entertainment” are preparing to announce “Viy”’s date of release. The film is supposed to be released in autumn 2012.

In spite of great interest of the mass media to the large-scale project, “Viy”’s film makers are not in a hurry to disclose all the details and carry on the intrigue. News from the shooting ground in Prague, details about the actors and other information appeared regularly in the press during the shooting period and post-production.

The film makers of “To Be or Not To Be” have presented a Film about film, which was their attempt to tell about the idea and the main theme of this motion picture. It was just “an attempt” because every viewer perceives the film in his own way, and the film makers think that this is right.

“To Be or Not To Be” is a complicated and ambiguously perceived motion picture, full of emotions, free-spoken monologues and unexpected plot twists. So it is necessary to explain “what the author means”.

On August 30th the demonstration of the motion picture “To Be or Not To Be” directed by Alexey A. Petrukhin will take place in the cinema “Sovremennik” within the framework of the competitive program of the IV All-Russian film festival “Golden Phoenix”.

Citizens of Smolensk and guests of the festival have a unique chance to appreciate the picture which attracted great attention of the critics and press who called it “scandalous” and “open” before its general release.

The first night of the film “To Be or Not To Be” threatened demonstration of “Elena”

To Be or Not To Be

On June 24 the first night of Alexey Petrukhin’s film “To Be or Not To Be” took place within opening of the Russian program of the 33rd Moscow film festival. Alexey Petrukhin’s debut work as the director was noticed by critics and journalists, covering the first nights of the Moscow film festival, and by a great number of spectators. In spite of the early time of demonstration – 4 p.m. so many spectators came to watch “To Be or Not To Be” that the spectators of the next film (“Elena” directed by Andrey Zvyagintsev) had to wait for almost an hour to get into the cinema hall.
