Dmitry Medvedev received the flag of Varyag
The film company RFG (Russian Film Group) is accomplishing preproduction stage of working on the film “Varyag”, the basis for which was provided by historical evidence of the Russo-Japanese War about heroic deed of crews of cruiser Varyag and gunboat Koreyets, which had accepted non-equal battle with Japanese naval forces. The battle of Chemulpo became the beginning episode of the Russo-Japanese War.

”Distributor’s Bulletin”: first episodes of VIY in 3D
Wednesday, June 16, several completed episodes from long awaited feature film VIY were shown in private. The demonstration, shown in 3D format, was organized by film creators for American guests, who consider the film for distribution in 80 countries. Mass media was presented exclusively by “Distributor’s Bulletin”. Guests were shown several scenes of the film, as well as selected test materials, demonstrating stereoscopic effects of the future film.

Presentation of film “Snow Doesn’t Melt Forever...” takes place on June 25
Continuing supportive cooperation with young film directors, RFG film company presents the debut full-feature film “Snow doesn’t melt forever…” directed by Victoria Markina. The presentation of the film will take place June 25, 2010 in the Contemporary Art Museum (Moscow), which was carefully selected for the event. The museum has eight showcases, partially occupied by the artists’ works (Gutov, Chelushkin, Kavarga, Tsvetkov) and video art on huge plasma screens, that can be watched 24h.

RFG and “Rock Climber” opened China for the Russian film producers
Blockbuster 2009 Movie Awards winners were announced in Moscow on February, 1. It is awarded to the most top-grossing films by the results of the year. “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs” animation film that earned $44,62 mln. was triumphant that evening.
But the success of Russian film “Rock Climber” abroad became the greatest revelation of that year Blockbuster Movie Awards. The movie (producers Yuri Bobrov and Valery Ponomarev) collected $2,1 mln. in China.
